AREAS OF USE
It is used at reinforced concrete buildings, gross concrete, prefabricated concrete, and gas concrete applications, for repair and plastering of surfaces, for repair of damaged surfaces before application of coats such as ceramic and tiles, and for plastering and repair of walls, edges, corners, and ceilings.
BENEFITS
It is easy to prepare and apply. It provides high adherence on concrete and plaster-applied surfaces. It gives proper working time. It does not lead to drift at vertical applications. It has high adhesion properties. It is resistant to water and frost. It is not impacted from thermal differences.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The surface should be clean, and all the residues (e.g. grease, dirt, corrosion) that will prevent adhesion on the surface should be cleaned. The surface to be repaired should be saturated with water several hours in advance. No free water should remain on the surface during application. 25 kg of EKOKAT REPAIR - TCK mortar is slowly poured into 5-6 liters of clean water and is then mixed with a low speed (400-600 rpm) mixer or a trowel until a homogenous mixture is obtained. The mortar is allowed to rest for 5 minutes and mixed again for 1 to 2 minutes once before application. The mortar should be used in thirty minutes. The mortar should not be used if its usage time has expired and it has been scabbed. The mortar should be applied at the specified application temperature, and protected from direct sun, wind and frost. The mortar is applied with a trowel with a thickness of 1-5 mm. After the mortar loses its water content, water is sprinkled on it and the desired surface is obtained with a steel and wooden trowel. It must be protected from evaporation with special curing materials or wet sacks for 24 to 48 hours after application.
