AREAS OF USE
It is used as a waterproofing material against ground waters at foundations, curtain walls, wet areas, balconies, terraces, underground car parks, and garden terraces of all buildings.
APPLICATION SURFACES
Cement-based mineral plasters and screeds, and gross concrete surfaces.
NOTE: It is not applied on metal surfaces.
BENEFITS
It has high elasticity and crack bridging capability, can be applied to all mineral surfaces easily and quickly, and does not contain solvent and asbestos fiber.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The surface must be cleaned from materials such as dust, cement, mortar residues, paint, mold oil that will prevent adhesion, and the surface must be solid and dry. No application should be made in rainy weather or on wet and frosted surfaces. Damaged surfaces should be repaired with EKOKAT REAPAIR THN, and horizontal and vertical corners should be beveled with a repair mortar. To achieve better performance from the product, EKOKAT AQUA WP - BA 2C should be mixed with water at the ratio of 1/5 thoroughly, and applied as a primer coat with a brush.
Application should be performed between + 50 C and + 350 C. The liquid component in the bucket is mixed with a low speed (400-500 rpm) mixer, and the powder component must be slowly added into the liquid component and mixed until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. Once the primer is dry, it is applied in 2 - 4 mm thickness with brush or trowel.
The first coat should be allowed to dry for application of the second coat. In order to increase the mechanical properties of the application, it is advisable to apply a glass fiber net of 100 g / m 2 between the coats. The applied surfaces should be protected from rain, frost and direct sunlight for 24 hours.
Note: For insulation of foundations, the application surface must be protected from mechanical damages by means of thermal insulation boards, drainage boards, and braided walls before filling. The earthfill works should be done after the material has been fully cured.
Application tools should be cleaned with water after application.
