PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The product is an acrylic copolymer emulsion-based, easy to apply surface smoothing paste that is used for interior facades with a thin texture.

FEATURES

It acts as a physically resistant filler to fill gaps created as a result of cleaning of previously painted and swollen inner surfaces, and to remove existing defects. Due to the ability to stretch, it prevents the shrinkage cracks from coming out onto the paint. It is resistant to water and moisture. It creates a very solid and even level ground. After drying, any kind of paint can be applied provided that a suitable primer is used. Absorbency is extremely low, and paint consumption is low. It does not hinder the ability of the surfaces to inhale. It saves time and labor.

APPLICATION SURFACES 

It can be used safely to smooth concrete surfaces, surfaces with mineral plaster or old paint, or rough surfaces on interior façades, and to fill the shrinkage cracks.

APPLICATION 

Ekokat Interior Paste is a ready for use product. Before application, the surface must be cleaned from powder, dirt and grease, and swollen parts should be thoroughly scraped and the surface must be dry. On non - dusting surfaces with a mineral base, low absorbency, or a rough plaster, the interior application should be performed after EKOKAT PRIMER INTO – S is applied in one coat. EKOKAT PASTE INTO - THN Interior Paste should be applied with a spatula or a flexible steel trowel to make the surface smooth by paying attention to the state of drying between coats.

The drying time between coats is 2-4 hours. It is sanded after 24 hours. Any kind of paint can be applied by using suitable primer. The ambient temperature and the temperature of the application surface should be between +5^oC and +30^oC during the application. The surface with newly applied paste must be protected from breeze and sunlight. It is recommended to clean application tools with water after use. After cleaning the mold grease on gross concrete surfaces, it is recommended to use EKOKAT PRIMER BBA Gross Concrete Primer before application of paste.

DILUTION 

It is ready for use. 

DRYING TIME (at 20ºC & 65% HR) 

Drying Time Before Touch: 1 hours

Final Drying Time: 24 hours (drying time might be longer at higher relative humidity and lower temperature values). 

CONSUMPTION

It varies between 500-800 gr / m² in a single coat depending upon the type, absorption, and structure of the application surface.

A controlled sample test should be performed to determine the exact amount of consumption.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

It can be stored for 2 years in its unopened packaging in a cool and dry place, and under protection from direct sunlight and direct sunlight. Close the cover immediately after use so that it does allow air to enter inside.

SAFETY PHRASES 

Work clothes, protective gloves, goggles and masks suitable for workers health and safety should be used during the application. It should be washed with plenty of water and soap immediately in case of contact with skin and eyes. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. No food and drink should be brought into application areas. Store it out of reach of children. Please refer to the safety data sheet for further information.
