DESCRIPTION

The product is a perlite-based lightweight alum that provides water and heat isolation by contributing to water isolation with its water repellent feature at terraces, balconies, and other wet areas, and that can be applied manually or with the help of a machine.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

  • Ambient temperature of +5 ° C to +35 ° C.
  • Avoid from application under very humid and / or very hot weather conditions.
  • Avoid from applying it under direct sunlight and strong wind.
  • It should not be applied on frozen, melted surfaces, or surfaces with frost hazard within 24 hours.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The application surface must be clean, be free of powder and grease, be solid and dry. 15-17 liters of water on average should be added to a 35 kg bag of EKOKAT Insulated Terrace Screed, and mixed in the application machine, and the prepared mortar should be applied by spraying. In manual applications, the mixture must be prepared with a low revolving mixer in accordance with the specified mixing times, and applied to the surface with a steel trowel. Depending on climatic conditions, starting one day after application, the surface will be watered in the shade twice in the morning and evening for at least 3 days.

WARNINGEKOKAT Insulated Terrace Screed is not a waterproofing material in itself. The application of EKOKAT DRYSEAL FLEX two-component waterproofing material before or after the application of EKOKAT Insulated Terrace Screed would give an exact solution for achieving water insulation. No foreign materials should be added into the mortar. Each bag should be used as a whole and attention should be paid to the water rates specified. All tools used should be washed with water after application before drying. The stated times are valid at a surface and ambient temperature of 20 ° C. The time is shortened at high temperatures and extended at low temperatures.

STORAGE CONDITIONS AND SHELF LIFE

It should be stored in its unopened original packaging, in a cool and dry environment. Avoid from exposure to direct sunlight. Shelf life is one year from date of production under suitable  storage conditions.

APPLICATION RESTRICTIONS

It should not be applied directly on metal, wooden, or wooden-top surfaces. Do not apply it on plaster surfaces.

SAFETY MEASURES

Work clothes, protective gloves, goggles and masks suitable for workers health and safety should be used during the application. Due to irritant effects of uncured material, it should be washed with plenty of water and soap immediately in case of contact with skin and eyes. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. No food and drink should be brought into application areas. Store it out of reach of children. Please refer to the safety data sheet for further information.
