AREAS OF USE

It is used as insulation plaster on interior and exterior wall surfaces such as brick, concrete, briquette, gas concrete, and etc. It contributes to the sound and heat insulation on the applied surfaces.

BENEFITS

  • High thermal insulation (T1) and sound insulation
  • A1 class incombustibility
  • 2-3 times lighter than conventional plasters
  • Lightness helps the building's earthquake resistance
  • Practical and fast application
  • Suitable for hand and machine applications

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

The application surface must be clean, free from powder and grease, be sound strong and moist. Before application, the surface must be absolutely humidified and it must be saturated with water under very hot and windy weather conditions. Cracks and holes must be completely repaired prior to application. The surface must be smooth. Glossy surfaces such as gross concrete, and surfaces with high water absorbency should be primed with EKOKAT EKOASTAR at least 24 hours before application.

A bag of 13 kg EKOKAT Insulated Interior Wall Plaster should be mixed with an average of 9-10,5 liters of water in a plastering machine, and the mortar so prepared must be applied by spraying. Taking into consideration the water ratios specified, the entire amount of water should not be poured at once and should be adjusted based on the consistency of the mortar. In manual applications, the mixture must be prepared using a low revolving mixer in accordance with the mixing times specified, and applied to the surface with a steel trowel. The application thickness should be between 10 mm and 20 mm in a single coat. The second coat should be applied with a maximum thickness of 30 mm after hardening of the first coat (e.g. at least 2 days later). It may be glazed optionally when hardened. Depending on climatic conditions, starting one day after application, the surface will be watered in the shade twice in the morning and evening for at least 3 days.

No foreign materials should be added to the mortar, and each bag should be used as a whole. Attention should be paid to the water ratios specified. It should not be used by mixing it with products with expired shelf life. A plaster mesh should be used at joints of different materials and at points where the presence of traffic is possible. After application, all tools should be washed with water before they dry. These values are valid for a surface and ambient temperature of 20oC. The time is shortened at high temperatures and extended at low temperatures. The application requirements specified in the Technical Data Sheet should be observed. Otherwise the final performance of the product may be affected from the application methods and the ambient conditions. Do not apply at temperatures above + 35 ° C or below + 5 ° C. Application should be avoided under very humid and / or very hot weather conditions. Also avoid from application under strong wind or direct sunlight. It should not be applied on frozen, melted surfaces, or surfaces with frost hazard within 24 hours.
